Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Barberino Nissan is proud to have supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October 2024 through several meaningful initiatives. We contributed to the Sloan Kettering Breast Cancer Organization and donated to the CT Breast Health Initiative’s Walk of Life/Brick Fundraiser. Additionally, we sponsored Lyman Hall High School’s breast cancer awareness T-shirts, helping spread the message of hope and support in our community. Coalition For A Better Wallingford Holiday Stroll

Wallingford (December 2023) - Barberino Nissan donated a tree to the Coalition for a Better Wallingford at this year's Holiday Stroll!

Brittany Barberino, Executive Manager of the Barberino Nissan dealership, and lifelong Wallingford resident, has been supporting the Coalition for a better Wallingford for years. We invite everyone to join us on the Holiday Stroll at 136 Center Street, Friday, December 1st at 4pm. Event runs through 9pm. The Coalition for a Better Wallingford provides support through education, prevention, and awareness to the Wallingford youth that may be affected by addiction or substance abuse.

Wallingford (October 2022)- Barberino Nissan was honored as a business that has been family owned for over 75 years in the town of Wallingford (alongside 14 other businesses) and was entered into a time capsule to be opened on the next Jubilee in 50 years.

Wallingford (August 2019) - Barberino Nissan is proud to be the main sponsor of the fourth Annual Puerto Rican Festival of New Haven. An annual festival celebrating Puerto Rico and its rich culture, where thousands gathered on the New Haven Green Saturday afternoon and evening for musical acts, food trucks, and vendors. Organized by Puerto Ricans United, the festival brings crowds together to honor Puerto Rican pride and community on a beautiful summer day.

Barberino Nissan host CT CHIP event for Community!

Wallingford (April 2019) - Barberino Nissan was pleased to help the community and the Freemasons of Connecticut by hosting a CT Chip event. CT CHIP puts together a comprehensive package for parents and guardians of young children with all of their children's vital information including a saliva sample, dental imprint, and finger prints. This kit could save police precious hours in the event a child were to go missing. Executive Manager, Brittany Barberino and General Manager, Hugo Lourerio worked closely with Larry Baker, the State Chairman of CT CHIP program to make this event a huge success and look forward to bettering the children of Hartford and New Haven counties again with this event in the future.

Food Drive Drop Off at Barberino Nissan

Wallingford (December 2018) - Barberino Nissan is a drop off location for Chrysalis Domestic Violence Services food drive. Chrysalis has been providing shelter and transitional housing for people in need for the past 41 years in Wallingford and Meriden. They are asking for all non-perishable foods, but also holiday related items- such as Christmas cookies or cakes and holiday candy. They always can also use donations of paper goods, such as paper towels or toilet paper.

Supporting Chrysalis: Barberino Nissan's Ongoing Commitment to the Community

Since 2018, Barberino Nissan has been dedicated to supporting Chrysalis through a series of food and goods drives, playing a vital role in aiding victims of domestic abuse in the Meriden and Wallingford areas. Chrysalis, established in 1977, provides a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, and transitional living assistance for victims and their children escaping difficult situations. Chrysalis is a cornerstone of support for those affected by domestic abuse, offering not only immediate emergency assistance but also long-term transitional housing solutions.

Barberino Nissan has hosted several successful drives: in December 2018, we served as a drop-off location for holiday-related items such as Christmas cookies, cakes, holiday candy, and paper goods; in December 2020, we teamed up with Chrysalis again, gathering similar holiday items with safety measures due to COVID-19; and in July 2022, we collected non-perishable foods, new clothing, paper products, and personal care items.

For the past six years, Barberino Nissan has proudly supported Chrysalis, seeking donations of non-perishable food, snacks, sodas, washable masks, hand sanitizer, shampoo, lotion, toothpaste, deodorant, and $20 grocery store gift cards. Wallingford (December 2018) - Barberino Nissan is excited to become a drop off site for the Three Kings Day Toy Drive presented by PRU and NH Hispanic Firefighters association. These toys directly go to the children displaced by tragic Hurricane Maria. Please drop off any unwrapped toys to help give back to our community.

Wallingford (September 2018) - Barberino Nissan was pleased to present Connecticut Children's Medical Center with a check for $8,800. Brittany Barberino, Executive Manager, and Hugo Loureiro, General Manager, worked closely with Scott Organek of CCMC to help contribute to changing the lives of local children whose lives have been affected with illness. Connecticut Children's Medical Center is located in Hartford but serves children throughout the state.
