Trim Levels

The 2022 Nissan LEAF comes in three trim levels: S, SV, and SL. Within these three trims, you can choose either the LEAF or LEAF PLUS battery pack. The SL only comes in the LEAF PLUS configuration, though. If you like sleek and unpretentious elegance, the LEAF looks as good as it drives! Enjoy standard exterior features like intelligent auto headlights, dual power outside mirrors, and UV-reducing solar glass across trims. On upper trims, enjoy standard features like LED headlights with signature daytime running lights and outside mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators.

Engine

On the standard LEAF battery pack versions, you can expect a 147-horsepower electric engine with 236 pound-feet of torque and a 40.0-kWh battery pack. With the enhanced LEAF PLUS versions, you'll get a 214 horsepower electric engine with 250 pound-feet of torque and a larger 62.0-kWh battery. To charge your LEAF, you can plug it into a 120-volt outlet or a 240-volt outlet. With the 240-volt outlet, both LEAF and LEAF PLUS batteries can charge fully in seven hours. However, a DC fast-charging connection is standard on all models, making it easier to fuel up minus the gas tank.

With the standard 40.0-kWh battery, you can expect a driving range of 149 miles. With the 62.0-kWh battery, that increases to 226 miles per charge in the S Plus trim. You'll get 215 miles per charge in the SV Plus and SL Plus versions.

Performance

Across all LEAF trims, enjoy 1-speed direct-drive transmission and front-wheel drive standard. Smooth, immediate power without shifting makes the LEAF easy to handle. With the LEAF's e-Pedal feature, you can switch back and forth between regenerative braking modes, one of which helps the car coast when the driver lifts off the throttle and another that uses energy from deceleration to recharge the battery. Switching between these modes can be a fun and engaging way to make the most of your ride!

Interior

Luxurious seats, a spacious rear, and plenty of cargo room make the LEAF as conveniently roomy as it is comfortable. In this vehicle's S and SV trims, you can enjoy a sleek, black plastic interior. With the SL, you have the option of a light gray leather interior with a matching dash pad.

For interior features, all LEAF models come with an 8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. You can also select an optional navigation system. An intuitive, updated Nissan Connect software interface lets you connect to your vehicle and all its features. To take in all your entertainment and connectivity options, you'll get a standard six-speaker audio system, with a seven-speaker Bose system standard in the SL Plus model.

Safety Features

Go forward safely with your new LEAF. Enjoy standard features like automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot intervention across trims. You can also enjoy available high-tech driver-assistance features like the ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode, available on the SV Plus trim.
