Trim Levels

This unique SUV comes in five trims: the S, SV, SL, Midnight Edition, and Platinum. The rugged, chiseled exterior includes huge front fenders, big, bright LED headlights, and Nissan's signature grille. From the front end to the back, the Armada sports a luxury look that's likely to turn heads. The SL trim adds 20-inch rims, while on the Midnight Edition, you can add a black grille and chrome door handles for an even more distinctive appearance. Engine

The Nissan Armada comes with a powerful 5.6-liter V-8 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, delivering plenty of power for navigating both busy highways and rugged dirt roads. It comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is also available. The vehicle's only powertrain comprises a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Performance

With independent rear suspension, the Armada handles exceptionally well, offering passengers a calm, smooth ride no matter the terrain. With a best-in-class standard maximum towing capacity of a whopping 8,500 pounds, there's little doubt that the Armada is a highly capable vehicle. Trailer Sway Control is also standard on the SL and Platinum trims, helping to make your towing experience even better by eliminating the sway. A tow-haul mode with downhill speed control helps to assist with larger, heftier towing. There are also modes for hauling and manual shifting, making the Armada even more durable.

Interior

A cushy, roomy interior and a quiet cabin add to the Armada's classiness and high level of comfort. With an impressive 95.4 cubic feet of cargo space with the second- and third-row seats pulled down, the SUV makes a great moving vehicle. Plenty of legroom also ensures passengers won't feel too squished and the three rows of seats can accommodate up to eight passengers.

Every Armada comes standard with a big 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and built-in navigation. The SV trim and up feature heated front seats. For even more luxury, upgrade to the Platinum trim for quilted leather seats, illuminated cup holders, and heated rear seats.

Safety Features

Every trim comes equipped with a host of useful driver-safety features and driver-assistance technology. These include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear-cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and a driver alertness monitor that can detect driving performance. One available feature consists of an intelligent rearview mirror that can check rear traffic conditions and contains a built-in LCD monitor. A 360-degree camera system is also available and can help to provide a real-time view of your surroundings as you park.
