NISSAN ANNOUNCES PLAN TO GROW PRESENCE IN ARGENTINA

The new arrangement, to begin in late 2011, will strengthen Nissan’s sales, service and distribution operations in Argentina and provide sustainable growth in one of the world’s key automotive marketplaces.
NISSAN NORTH AMERICA SALES DROP 27 PERCENT IN AUGUST; TOTAL 2010 SALES UP 14.2 PERCENT

(NNA) today reported August U.S. sales of 76,827 units versus 105,312 units a year earlier, a decrease of 27 percent compared with the “Cash for Clunkers” fuelled sales in August 2009. Nissan Division sales were down 30.9 percent for the month, while sales of Infiniti vehicles rose 21.9 over a year before. For all of 2010, NNA sales are up 14.2 percent.
